Jackson County Democratic Central Committee: Change of location due to a strike (meet:Jacksonville Public Library Meeting Room)

The Jackson County Democratic Central Committee will meet Thursday, September 25, 2008, 6:00pm at the
Jacksonville Public Library Meeting Room. 
The Address is:  340 W. C St. in Jacksonville.   C St is off Oregon St where the Post Office and Britt Parking lots are located.   Please note the change of location due to a strike at our normal site at the OEA Building.   We will continue to collect non-perishable food items for those in need.  It has really helped local food banks.    The Public is invited, particularly registered Democrats! 
There will be a very interesting program in two parts:

PROGRAM 1:  Behind the scenes insights from the Democratic National Convention with our own delegates from the 2nd CD:  Paulie Brading, Matt Sutton, David Gilmour, Milt Goldman, Myra Silverman, and Sharon Marler, Alternate, will share impressions and quick stories of this “once in a lifetime” political experience.

PROGRAM 2:  What else will be on the November ballot besides our Candidates? -  THE BALLOT MEASURES!  An informative presentation by Christopher Len, attorney and Legal Director of the Klamath – Siskiyou Wildlands Center.  These measures are often confusing or misleading so this will be a great opportunity to learn what is really being proposed.  Christopher will let us know what the Democratic Party of Oregon and other organizations have to say about them and provide time for questions and discussions.  Where possible, we will vote to endorse or oppose some or all of the measures.
