The Jackson County Democratic Central Committee: 6:30 at OEA Building

The Jackson County Democratic Central Committee will meet Thursday, September 25, 2008, 6:30 at the OEA Building,  2495 S. Pacific Hwy, Medford, Oregon. (Next to the Grange Coop and across Hwy 99 from the Harry and David main offices.)  We will continue to collect non-perishable food items for those in need.  It has really helped local food banks.
There will be a very interesting program in two parts:

PROGRAM 1:  Behind the scenes insights from the Democratic National Convention with our own delegates from the 2nd CD:  Paulie Brading, Matt Sutton, David Gilmour, Milt Goldman, Myra Silverman, and Sharon Marler, Alternate, will share impressions and quick stories of this “once in a lifetime” political experience.

PROGRAM 2:  What else will be on the ballot besides Candidates?  THE BALLOT MEASURES!  An informative presentation by Christopher Len, attorney and Legal Director of the Klamath – Siskiyou Wildlands Center.  These measures are often confusing or misleading so this will be a great opportunity to learn what is really being proposed.  Christopher will let us know what the Democratic Party of Oregon and other organizations have to say about them and provide time for questions and discussions.  Where possible, we will vote to endorse or oppose some or all of the measures.
